It's possible that there might be some services that might be incompatible with your Insider build or a setting that needs correction. Let's narrow down your concern. In order for me to have a better idea on what you experience, I would like to know the following:

• What is the make and model of your computer?
• Are you getting the same issue when using other cloud services such as OneDrive?
• Do you get the same issue when using other user profiles?
• Have you tested if the issue is happening when running the app/program on compatibility mode?

In the meantime, I would recommend that you uninstall and reinstall your app and other programs and other programs associated to it. That being said, this would ensure that the sync service with it's upload & download has no issues. It would be best to have this done over a new user profile named as test. This way, we'd be able to isolate the issue better, and have better idea if this is specific to the application you're using or the services that might need correction on your Windows 10.

My computer is a bit of a hybrid, based around an Asus P8 H61-MX motherboard fitted with an Intel i5 processor and an OCZ-Vertex 3 SSD as 'C:' my drive.

This problem only occurs with Google Drive File Stream, and has only started occurring since build 17730 release 180731-1427. OneDrive has continued to work without any problem.

I'm the only user of this particular machine so there is only one user profile, however I have set up a new profile and tested it, and the problem is still present - Google Drive File Stream still fails to work after a reboot and needs to be reinstalled.

The only other issue I've noticed, which may or may not be connected to this, is that all links to Winaero Games also vanished after the update to build 17730 release 180731-1427, necessitating a reinstallation (this still happens after each update but not on a reboot).

I hope this helps narrow down the problem.
